How are there so many AWESOME bugs over there? Here all I've seen are silly lady bugs and the odd spider, tiny spiders, not THIS! Its SO cool!

amazing that you can crank out amazing shots like this on a point and shoot camera such as the powershot sx110.

If I had the cash to buy a SLR, I would do it in an instant. But, I'm currently saving for college next year. It may be a while before I can afford one.

I would suggest starting a photoblog and see what kind of response you get there, and if you get enough viewers you can explain your situation and set up a donation fund. You never know someone may sponsor you! Either way, even though you are young, you should be ready to start building credit and getting a nicer job at least within a year... so theres always the possibility on buying one from a credit card.

I've thought about starting a photoblog, but it's usually just a passing thought. Now that someone besides myself has mentioned it, maybe I'll actually try it. If I do get a decent response, the donation fund idea doesn't sound like a bad idea. There's no harm trying, right? I'll be looking into it.
