Juniper is kind of an emotional wherewolf
she's a duel class Druid Barbarian but she's very sweet- she just feels intensely
and just... loses herself sometimes
she has a familiar who is a small human child.
in DND, when you cast Find Familiar, a ghostly creature appears (usually something small like a large crab, a ferret, a hawk, a cat, etc.) and her reasoning is that people are animals too, and plus Smokey has been her "imaginary" friend since childhood
...except that she has her own consciousness? ...and can interact with objects?

Castelleja is a dragon who can take human shape (but that's not uncommon for dragons in this world because I said so)
and personality-wise,
(I don't know if anyone has read Nice Dragons Finish Last, it's AMAZINGLY GOOD I highly recommend it)
but I'm modeling dragon personality off of that
anyway in short, think like... People are pack animals, we travel in families and friend groups, our joy comes from socializing and making others happy most of the time
dragons are cold-blooded lizards, ancient, highly intelligent apex predators. They care less about friendship and understand more in terms of loyalty and trading debts, with the main life goal being collection of rare items and completing feats that increases their status
basically becoming legend
and carefully manipulating and backstabbing their way to the top
