This is Säilä(/Saber). This is my cute little ''son''.
Big arrows show the instar and small arrows show how you can identify bugs from each other.

Size:
Larvas are 40cm long and 3-5kg (and they are super soft!).
Interphase cups are ~70cm withers, 1m long and ~50-70kg without metal parts.
Adults are ~170-180cm (rare case 200cm) withers, ~200-250cm long and 2,5ton kg with metal parts because metal coalesce with bugs. Females are little bit bigger than males.
Queens are bigger than anyone else in herd.

Colouring:
Most eggs are grey, some can have slightly brown or beige tone. The wires are always different colours.
Larvars are grey with black stripe or spots (camouflage in stalagmite caves).
In cup stage colouring is showing up but colours are usually very dark. Sometimes their head and belly plate can have brighter colour or bright marks, these individuals are usually killed by others.
Adults are much like cups but their wings can be colourful and bright.
Queen has a skull pattering.

Food:
Larvas usually eat meat but vegetables go too. Moss and mushrooms usually grow in caves where larvas live so they prefer them more than vegetables.
Cups eat almost everything. They start to eat different metals at age of 5 month. Cups need lot of metal after that, it's very importat to them, without metal they die.
Adults literally eat everything that is consider as food. Fish are dangerous to them, first fish live in water and second fishbone are flexible that they can stuck in bug's mechanism and it can even kill them. Spicy food is bad to them. As a treat e.g. chili, isn't bad for them but most of bugs avoid spicy food. Adults eat less metal than cups but they eat it sometimes and if they are injured they eat more metal than usual.

Hierarchy in herd:
Iron bugs have a queen. Queen don't mate with males, queen is only one who can mate with other females and decide couples who can mate and how many eggs they can lay. Queen are the most dangerous individuals and they don't need protectors. They are difficult, almost impossible, to tame because they have so strong istincts.
Other bugs have different 'professions'. Healer, nanny, hunter, food searcher, protector and soldier (order of importance in this order), but they have also particular sectors in their jobs. Healers are very rare individuals. Healers have thin metal cover that's why they have their own protectors.
Bugs are sosial animalt. Males and females are equal. They all take care of one another. All herd take care of injured and old individuals, only queen can kill them if it's needed.
