Only the best cartoon rabbit who ever existed. (Alongside a few minor ones)

There are a lot if great cartoon rabbits, like Roger Rabbit, or Babs and Buster Bunny (no relation)... But Bugs is definitely at the top of that list. TV Guide even named him the "Greatest Cartoon Character of All Time."

I can see why; he's famous for his trickster tactics and Brooklyn accent, and who could forget that iconic one-liner? "Eh, what's up doc?"
Still, I love all fictional rabbits/hares, whether they're cute, silly, or even nightmarish. I'm not a bunny person for nothing you know.

I wish to see Bugs Bunny dressed as a ninja in black.

A request. But it has been rejected countless time since because they think it's lame to dress Bug Bunny up like a ninja.

I don't see why... Bugs being the master of disguise and quick-change artist that he is, I could easily see him pulling off something like that... I mean, if he'll dress up like a girl, a ninja's not really that out-there...
Anyway, I don't think it's a bad idea. I am, however, too busy with my own artwork at the moment to take requests. Mayhaps sometime later, when I'm not as busy and need something to draw...
Along the same vein, I did once draw Yakko Warner as a samurai along with the appropriately punny name "Samurai Yak" amongst this melange of doodles here , if you'd like to check it out.

He's certainly Warner Bros. flagship cartoon star. According to TV Guide, he's also the #1 greatest cartoon character of all time.

Β I'm always impressed at how faithfully you draw all these old characters. There's nothing the slightest bit off about them!
Β
Β I've think I read somewhere that Bugs Bunny was originally inspired by Clark Gable. If it's true, then it's kinda weird how the parody overshadowed the original, isn't it?Β

I dunno... I think Bugs could've been slightly more on-model, but I'm pleased with it. Chalk it up to my style, I guess.
Bugs was actually more inspired by Groucho Marx and the like from vaudeville days. His carrot-chomping shtick, however, did come from Clark Gable in the movie "It Happened One Night"(1934), where his character eats carrots and talks while leaning on a fence. With the carrot connection, it made sense to have the rabbit imitate it.
There are a lot of things that Looney Tunes parodied that fell by the wayside while the cartoon's version became more well-known; including Foghorn Leghorn's voice, the "I'm only t'ree and a half yeaws old!" line, Bugs' "Of course you realize this means war!", and the "I'll give you suuuch a piiinch!" line, amongst others. I guess it just goes to prove the timelessness and lasting appeal of a good cartoon.

Β True. For most people I know, the oldest movie they've ever seen is a cartoon. I have friends who say they'll never watch anything from the 50's, but they have seen Peter Pan and Cinderella and just never realised how old they really are.Β

Yep. Cartoons do tend to age much better than other films. The fact that animating drawings still hasn't changed all that much over all these years and that anything animated is basically set in it's own little world certainly don't hurt. It's like any type of art, really; if it's done well enough, it doesn't matter how old or new it is. If it's good, it's good.

That's true; you folks do tend to stick "U" in a lot of words, like "colour" or "armour".
However, both "soul" and "sour" have a "U". The difference is the "L"/"R"; so it really doesn't apply in this case.
