Description
One of the skulls in my first ever run of Calaveras. This particular one was done as a birthday gift to a friend who has a fun collection of skulls. For this particular one, food dye paste was mixed with the sugar base to dye it the blue you see as the base color of the skull. This is also where I learned that food dye paste will stain EVERYTHING if you're not careful.

All the 'line work' is hand piped royal icing (stuff dries hard enough to cut you, scary!). The eyes are gold foil.
