thanks for critique, I understand it. These wolves are bit strange. I'll try to make anatomy better. Regrettably, it's difficult to learn animals' anatomy, because I coul never find a good book about it. I have only Jack Hamm's book "How to draw animals".

You work with pastels masterfully! Are you using both hard and soft? Either way, the texture of that fur is exquisite. Keep up the great work!!

thanks for warm comment, ShadowKorin! the answer... yes, I use both types of pastels. My huge set includes soft and hard chalk. Hard pastels are very convinent to create difficult color mixes and gradients. Such features are very important for painting.

it was not easy to show the texture of fur and deep color gradients at the same time... but due the high hue of colors most of my paintings cannot be illustrations, I think. Although the fur is important for such fluffy animas as wolves.

one of those wolves seems exasperated with life lol. Very nice work with pastels, that medium is pretty messy and challenging!

awww poor wolfie. oh yeah watercolors definitely are what i like for a medium, simply because pastel is so much harder, though you do get more control with pastels

thanks for your comment, ScarlettFoxx!
pastles were not too easy to learn... but I had some practice with watercolors before, and they are even more difficult. One wolf is really exaspirated with life. It was planned so...

oh yeah watercolors are definitely difficult to learn, there's a lot more that you can't control with watercolor.
