It was a misty moonlit Halloween night, Halloween was being celebrated all over Sodor. The engines had travelled to an old abandoned scrapyard that was rumoured to be haunted, A visiting GWR Castle Class from the mainland, Thornbury Castle started to tell them a rather spooky tale

Thornbury: "It all happened 51 years ago, I was awaiting scrapping in Barry scrapyard, some engines were scrapped content that they had lived a good long life and were ready to leave the world, most of the engines were lucky to be saved for preservation including myself, However one such engine who was scrapped was not will...."

Suddenly a loud chime whistle broke the eerie silence!, the engines jumped. Gordon pompously puffed into the yard stopping next to Henry.

Gordon: "Hello all!, Have I missed anything?, I don't mean to blow my own whistle but I brought the Wild Nor Wester in on time again!"

Henry: "Yes we've all heard all that before!, Now Sssh!, We're listening to a ghost story from Thornbury"

Gordon was annoyed at being cut short by Henry.

Thornbury: "Thank you Hen...."

Gordon: "Don't listen to him Henry!, He's got no dome, never trust domeless engines, they're not respectable"

Edward: "Gordon Sssh!"

Thornbury: "Of course your dome was blown off a viaduct by the wind and into the river, wasn't it Gordon?"

Gordon's face turned red as he went quiet.

Thornbury: "As I was saying it happened 51 years ago, a certain engine that was scrapped was unwilling to cross over to the afterlife after his death...."
