Recently, a friend and I entered into the Duck Brand Duct Tape competition entitled Stuck at prom. The competition requires one to make a prom dress and suit entirely out of duct tape and wear it to your school's prom, and then enter it into the competition. Judges then pick the top ten based on creativity, workmanship, amount of duct tape, and appearance. Then a period of national voting occurs and voting for the top ten couples become a competition to see who can get the most votes and hopefully win one of the prizes.

I, Caden Kluge, and my friend Ashton Woolen entered this competition. We spent several months making the outfits and then attended a Cherokee Country High School - Sequoyah High - Prom in our outfits. We have made it into the Top Ten couples, guaranteeing a prize of $500 each and $500 for our school. The prizes include $5,000 each (plus the same to the school) for the 1st place winner, $3,000 for second, and $2,000 for 3rd.

We were inspired to do something that would stand out, so we went with a Victorian/Modern Day combination with a full, flowing skirt and a wrapped red bustle while working in the multi-colored slit. The suit jacket sports a gentlemanly tail complimented by matching cane, top hat, and pipe accessories. The entire ensemble is tied together with a recurring vine-and-flower pattern in different colors to give it vibrance and life. This completely duct tape outfit could grace the halls of a 19th century ball or a 21st century red carpet.
