6 of 7 sketches done for the Divinitas [link] 2006 calendar. This one features Aether, the antagonist of the story, with one wing shredded off by his own hands, with a tear trailing down his cheek.I didn't plan on having Aether cry. Why should he? He's cried *once* in the whole story so far. >_> And for such a silly sentimental reason too. Blah. Antagonists shouldn't cry.
They make others cry!... Yeah, anyway, nothing else to say. Will shove into scraps later. Expect CGed version in a month or 2.

I just read from chapter 16 to 61 during the past few days. I freakin applaud you.... (I had read the first 16 chapters a while back, but lost my place). This is very pretty...I think the expression is very like him. I love his left hand and the ornaments on his arms.

He's beautiful! Don't change a thing about him.
Frankly I think it's cool when he shows emotion.
Gives you something to try and figure him out with.
Besides, let's remember who's the only one who can make him feel anything at all.

So cool! Aether looks awesome. And even though he's crying he seems...defiant? I dunno, it's just cool. He's not all babyish and sobbing, sort of like he's ignoring that it's even happening...

He's really a beautiful character. The real jewel of the story, Kawo-san! He is so very complex, but I don't think in the archetypal way of seme/uke, which so many bl images fall into. I can't really comment on bl fic because I prefer to avoid doing comments on it...I don't have much experience ^.^;
This images really suits him- it's not typical of him, which is why it works so well. It kind of that feeling of 'you think you've nailed him down, but then he just changes on you!' That's the best way I can describe it!
I can't wait to see this sketch coloured! He looks so delicate and fragile, but with that one amethyst eye....*goes to jelly*
