This is the sketch 1/13 of the Divinitas [link] Zodiac series illustration - #01 (Cover, Aether, Elements)It's meant to be a reference to the 4 elemental signs in the zodiac... Aether is licking the fire orb whilst looking feral and insane. >_> He wants blood on his katana too. >___> No wonder Phoenix wants to keep his distance.

I love Aether's expression, an apt description you have of it there. Excellent design with the elemental symbols and the background. Very mystical.

Poor Pheonix. If I were him and saw Aether like that... Eesh. Yeah, I would definitely get out of there and stay away. Lol. We all know he likes it, though. 
I really like the design in the top right with the other elemental orbs as well. He really is the perfect choice for this card. And he has to go first. It's Aether after all. I love his wrist bands, too. I'd buy them in an instant. ^^

part of me cant understand why Phoenix keeps his distance. Aether is hot! ^_^ on the other hand. Phoenix= Stubborn

Hmmmm... As a fangirl, yes, I agree, Phoenix is silly. But as a person, I understand why. Not just because of his past with Aether... But because of the type of person Aether is. He's the sort that if you surrender to him completely, you have the threat of losing yourself. He would over power you completely and demand so much of you that your own sense of self is lost. Which is why to Phoenix, the words "surrender" and "Aether" in the same sentence is terrorising and why Phoenix wants to keep his distance.

yeah i can see that. Aether is kinda..... creepy..... ~shudders~ he is... well... yeah. ^_^ i know the feeling. i knew someone similair to Aether once. So i can see where Phoenix is wary. i think also, Phoenix is even more so because he knows that Aether wont change in the near future. ~sigh~ bad guys.... will be bad. (Aether... a VERY bad guy) I like reading your stuff ^_^ it makes me think. a lot. i like that. ^_^
my only expectation is that it keeps going ^_^ oh. and a great finish that wont make me go "WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!" which. i'm sure a great ending is inevitable. Just like how it has been. if it werent great i wouldnt read it ^_^ yaay! ~glomp~

it's absolutely gorgeous. i love how the fire weaves in and out with him and his sword. also that symbol at the top and the details in the orb are wonderful. any plans on what you want to color it with? photoshop? colored pencils? markers?
