In honor of Mother's Day, I wanted to draw a few of my favorite animated moms.Β I didn't love Merida, but Queen Elinor was a character I could really sink my teeth into!Queen Elinor belongs to Disney/Pixar.

Yeah, they were a bit at odds; Merida really wasn't apparently interested in marriage at that point in her life; that's the essence of this "love-fight" between mom and daughter, and rather common for a regal girl: being compelled to marry.
This's the sort of family drama that'd have happened in all likelihood between parents and children in that kind of society. Merida wants to be a regular girl really, and take her time in growing up; that's her overall attitude really.
I do like the message in this picture, though, and your views on this. Thank you for that.
