He is a vampire. And what is equivalent to blood in plants? Nectar (excluding water and nutrients of course)
So given the fact that unless he sucks blood from humans, he probably would be sucking nectar from his plant buddies.
Like a bee. Or a butterfly. You could even give him those tube drinking thingys that butterflies have instead of fangs.Β
