I just downloaded your fractal brushes for PSP.Β Believe it or not I have no idea how to use them yet. I use to have PSP 9.0 and used it a lot but not making fractals. Now I have PSP Pro X3 and am just trying to learn how to make fractals. Do you have any tips for me? I thank you for sharing these great looking brushes.Β β₯β₯

Wow I thank you so much. I went and got the apophysis program for fractals. I see there are examples of fractals on black backs. So how do you save them? I will go read the tutorials but for now, what format do you save them inΒ to be able to post them on Deviantart?Β Is the idea behind this program that they want you to use their creations to add on to for one's own personal touch? Or is there a way to start a new project all your own. I really should go read more on this all instead of bugging you. Your brushes look so professional that you created. Okay off I go. Thanks once again for your help.

Pageviews are overrated! xD
I'm a bit of an overly stubborn/competitive person in the area of the anime style. I have it that I was among the first to start drawing it (I worked my tail feathers off to switch from Disney-esque to anime), so the rest of them should quit. I also have it that when the trend passes and they all don't care anymore I'll still be drawing anime style.
If it's not a trend, and it's really something that will go in the Art History books as one culture influencing the art of another, then I imagine there won't be an end to the anime style. Bleh. I'm not sure how I feel about that. >.>
Hey, if you make an epic pack I'd be thrilled! But I hear you about time. "I comment way more than I post art." *cough* Yeah. *raises hand* Guilty. xD;
Your comments are not too long! Not for me, anyway. I write books though. Heh! When I scroll through an artist piece with a lot of comments, I see most of them are "Good job!" "Awesome, man!" "Love it!" and not really anything that merits much more than a "Thanks" in response. If I feel inclined I will leave a thoughtful comment on a piece with a lot of comments and see. I've been surprised. *homanga or ^skifi for instance, will respond to thoughtful comments. ^_^
"It's sad when I just get "Thanks!" after a long comment."
I've had that happen! I wonder sometimes, "Hm, maybe I typed too much. Maybe their brain overloaded after seeing the wall of text." I never comment on that artist with the same effort again. I do have chronic curiosity, though. I will occasionally try again on that artist and see if it was just how they were feeling at that time. Or, when I find a new artist I will comment out of curiosity to see how they'll respond.
"I talk to the people who take the time to comment on me. Because it's not many, I'd rather make friends with them."
:3 Yeah, that's a good idea. If nothing else you're acknowledging their efforts to at least comment, and possibly coax more out than, "Hey, love your brushes!"

Well, I did make some more blotches on a paper that I want to turn into brushes... but yes.
See, I like you because your comments are as long as mine. I write NOVELS. (well, for real too, but in comments, I mean) And here you are, you read them and reply equally lengthily. It's sooo nice. XD I forget who the artists were... I've had ~tobiee and =Cataclysm-X and *messa reply in depth to my comments. At least in such a way that 1) I knew they read it and cared about my opinion even if they disagreed and 2) they conversed back.
Actually, from what I recall, I asked Tobiee some questions about what he did his art with and ranted about not having a tablet, I ranted at Cataclysm in response to her artist notes about the popularity trend and the reason why I didn't mind seeing her art hit the front page when some, I wince at, and Messa, I admit I commented on her when in a bad mood and left a pretty in depth comment and then added something snarky about 'but since you're a popular artist you probably won't even read this'. I feel kinda bad for that, actually, and went out of my way to leave a couple more decent comments on her stuff later. Surprisingly enough she responded in detail in kind.
Hence, those three there, for popular artists, I have quite a bit of respect for them and what they do.
I try to comment on new artists too... found some awesome stuff there and it's nice to introduce them to DA.

Weeeeeee'll see. Yeah. I was quite surprised to run into someone who comments about as dramatically as me. I love it, actually. It makes me feel like less of a failure since I tend to not be accepted in any crowd due to rambly posts. Like, crowds online. I avoid people in real life too, thoughhhhhh... seriously, teenage girls are TERRIFYING. o_O
I have a tablet now. I wouldn't be CGing anymore. Because I would have severe carpal tunnel syndrome. When I got my tablet, it was like a huge moment of relief as my wrist screamed THANK YOU GOD, I NEEDED THIS!!! No, really, I see people talk about taking time to adjust to it... I was adjusted to it in an hour while gleefully cackling and running around with a mad grin on my face and going THIS FEELS SO GOOOOOD!
I CGed with a mouse for far too long. Waahhhh. My featured picture was done with a mouse. Actually, if you look in my gallery, I set aside the mouse done ones. Yep. But the stuff now is usually tablet done. I'm trying a new mouse picture just to see if I can still do it, but only working on it here and there.
Hee. Yeah. I occasionally wish I had a crowd too. But then I look at the crowds. They fuss, complain, make two word comments. "YAY MORE!" "PRETTY!" "ew." "Okay." "Yay!" They flame you if it's not up to their expectations. They push you into a road. The crowd isn't really that great, all in all.
I try to support people, but I'm also a critic. Oddly enough, most people don't mind it because I'm a very in depth critic. Most people just go "it sucks". I write a novel. (dies) People joked about using my forum posts as word padding in Nanowrimo... oh maan....
I wish I could spend all day on DeviantArt too, but then I remember I hate most of the people because they're jerks and am glad I can go to all sorts of different sites. ^_^ But every once in a while I meet a gem. It's relieving to know that not everyone makes two word comments or flames and trolls and draws Nurato fanart...
Heh.
But you're cool. XD

@ your first paragraph. Failure you are not. A LOT... and I mean, droves... of people online don't have a solid grasp of the English language. Even if it's the only language they know! I have seriously lost people before by typing more than one sentence properly. We deal with a lot of people online, even ones that hate reading. (so if u kant type liek dis thay kant reed it)
Teenage girls... don't even get me started. It was a relief to hit a high enough teen age that they all scattered for college. That is, until I saw the same bloody cliques going on in college. >.<;
Yeah, I got a tablet pretty much as soon as I heard about them. I even got a cheaper one just to not have to fight with the mouse. I still ended up using the mouse, but it was half-and-half at least. Now I got a sleek Wacom and CGing is so relaxing I actually don't feel like I'm working.
Glad you're brave enough to continue working with a mouse. o.o; I'm very glad you're pacing yourself through that pic though. No Carpal Tunnel!
....Really good point about the crowds. Sounds like book reviewers. You wouldn't believe how many of them don't actually read the book even halfway, by the way. >.> If I'm critiquing someone else's work I always try to mix good stuff with my criticisms. I have never looked at a piece of artwork in such bad shape that I couldn't find something good to say about it. What seems to happen more often is this: the artist is down on themselves about a piece of work that's just fine and they actually need encouragement. If I know of any, I'll recommend a tutorial to help with something I'm seeing a weakness on.
Buuut, since I know nothing about brushes I don't have constructive criticism. =/
!!!! You've had people say that about your forum posts? Seriously? For NaNoWriMo?! Sorry, I just... I find that hilarious for some reason. xD;
Sorry to hear you have felt that way about DA. I used to. That was at least part of the pile of reasons I left DA 2 of the 3 times. This time, since I've come back for far more selfish reasons I'm loving DA. Gotta love the irony in that. I'm here now for two main reasons:
- Post old artwork (and the occasional new one) for me to reference from other computers.
- Chat it up with other people that have a talkative online persona.
I've found enough of the latter that I'm now constantly behind on comments, LOL. Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly grateful for the fact that people will stop and comment on an old artwork or even it. It helps me find more people to chat it up with!
LoL, thanks. xD

What are you using? Photoshop? They get all the cool brushes anyway. ^_^ I have Photoshop now but I'm still going to make PSP brushes because they get the short end of the stick for resources. But you can feel free to make brushes out of the fractal this came from for your own use or maybe I'll post an image pack sometime.
