Description The best part about Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is that one of the many spells he learns turns him into a fairy. Its so ridiculous and fantastic.

Man I love this game. Almost done with it too.

I know I'm a broken record about this but damn do I wish Nintendo would revisit some ideas, monsters and abilities they used in Zelda II and reuse more of them. Can you imagine how broken the later games would be if Link could still turn into a fairy? Oh man that'd be hilarious.

Oh yes. That game is so hard that I used the fairy spell to run for my life so many times, especially on the way to the great palace.

I've only ever played two Zelda games in my life. O: Almost beat A Link to the Past (snes, fuck yeah!), and didn't get very far in the one with the wolves... I'm not good at games.

'Cept Skyrim.

Huh, Is Skyrim an easy game? I'd figured Zelda would be easier than that especially the the wolf one Twilight Princess.

M'mmm, I think it's.. just.. IDK. It's just f'ing fun! @_@ I wouldn't say it's easy or hard. It depends on what you're doing in it.

Fair enough! I know I can tolerate a hard game so long as it is fun to play.

Haha I have so many games to play at the moment I'll be okay. Also as much as I'd love to play it I don't have anything to play Skyrim on.

Spells themselves would be nice. I had a feeling Ocarina of Time was trying SOMETHING with that ( Not only did you get a magic meter like in A Link to the Past, but you also got increments of how much "MP" a spell like Din's Fire or Light Arrows would cost to use ), but it never really evolved past anything.

Nintendo's probably just happier to forget Zelda II existed.

I love this comic too, you drew the enemies pretty fantastic. Especially love the way you did the eyelashes on the eyeballs. Man, I feel bad for not knowing their names.

Yeah, I remember my first time playing OoT and getting the fire spell. It was a sort of lackluster spell but okay, maybe the other fairies give you better magic. Nope! All the other spells were lame. Oh well. Fun Fact though: First time I fought Dark Link in the Water Temple I could not figure out how to beat him. After dying I emptied out all my bottles and filled them with nothing but green potions and ended up beating Dark Link using nothing but the fire spell over and over because I had no clue on how to defeat him. Haha. So I guess that spell wasn't completely useless.

Yeah the Moa! Hah, I didn't know the names of all these guys either (except the ones that appear in later games) until I started playing this game again recently and was just going through it thinking WTF is this? WTF is that? lol So yeah, I looked them all up and their artwork and man... Idk but I just really love the enemies and artwork for this game.

Haha. Dark Link. I remember reading about Din's Fire being effective, but I never bothered trying since it seemed really ineffecient. I guess the fact that you had to use green potions pretty much proves that point.
Nowadays, when I replay, I don't bother Z/L-Targeting and just slash away. It seems to work well enough for me.

There really seem to be a lot of forgotten goodies there. Maybe I'll look 'em up sometime, a lot of them seem fun to draw!

Such a great game.

Couldn't those flying eyeballs still follow him though?

Yeah, sorta, though really in the game they just kind of fly around at random. Still really useful to escape everything else.
