Beautiful..very sensitively drawn and colored.
My only slight crti would be how the bottom of the plant runs off the bottom of the canvas instead of keeping the entire form within the canvas.
You helped offset the effect somewhat by making the border.
I also wish the leaves were a bit less flat...they seem to lack the same life that the flowers have.
The flowers look wonderful, they are shaded perfectly, and you show off the complexity of the bearded flower group very well.

beautiful subtle colors. i feel like all of these are out of some 17th century text. the way you caught the shape and folds of the petals is really impressive. i love how i can feel the rigidity in the center of the petals, and the softness of the little brush. it's going to sound silly, but i think i'd like the stem a little off center. everything is so naturalistic, and then it's like cropped to fit and for some reason it feels a little stiff at the very bottom.

That's very astute, it was cropped to fit a standard print size, which did cut off another inch or two of stem and leaves at the bottom. It bugs me a bit as well. Also, I didn't dig up the rhizome, so I had to find some place to end the picture. It's a constant problem with plants that are inconvieniently large, I'll have to think out other ways of handling it. Thank you very much for the comment.

they're still very beautiful

you could go the old fashioned botanical route and illustrate the root system/bulbs?

Great attention to detail. I love the soft colours & style, it looks more like a traditional drawing than digital art.

Umm.. yes it's not working now either. You may just want to delete it and try resubmitting it.

Nor for me. Now it seems all new submissions are not loading properly. I'm just going to go away and assume the problem will fix itself.
