--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once Simba fled, Scar, he stood by Mufasa's corpse, thinking about what he did for a moment. Perhaps a shred of remorse fell very deep in his being and, taking advantage of the loneliness, he contemplated for the last time the body of his now deceased brother and let out a "I'm sorry" almost whispering from his mouth, before leaving and disappearing between the dust that still did not dissipate from the stampede.

* I'm sorry if maybe it seems violent that I included blood but I wanted to add a more realistic touch *

To think there’d be any good at all in Scar for murdering his brother.

I absolutely love this. Scar looks extremely accurate, like right from the movie, and I also like how you added the blood and injuries, I wish it would have been on Mufasa's corpse in the movie in a bit less violent way because it's Disney but still. This is an amazing piece of art!

Disney's logic: they never show blood or wounds, but they do show a child together trying to wake up his father's dead body...  Thanks for you comment, I really appreciate it!

Indeed they still show violent psychologic stuff but never depicted in the pictures with blood.
No problem!

I appreciate the more gruesome, realistic death you've put out here. Though I'm curious of why Simba didn't suspect something was up from the claw marks on his dad's paws, since in the film we see him crawl under them in sorrow for a brief while, though otherwise this is incredible.

While I was doing this drawing, the same question has arisen. I have two theories and the first would be that Simba had not noticed that detail. Why? Simple, because he is a small and scared child and I do not think he can reason that they are wounds made with the claws of another lion. Another possible and even more realistic theory would be that, considering the height to which Mufasa fell, and above that his body was trampled by hundreds of wildebeest at the same time, Mufasa's body should be bathed in blood and full of bones broken, product of the trampled so it would be difficult to see the marks of their legs because they would go unnoticed with the other wounds of the rest of his body. But obviously, Disney would never show something like that. Anyway, I think I exceeded myself but your question was interesting to me and I always try to find a logic to everything, hahaha. Regards!

Fair points here, though I suppose another reason could be that Simba might have assumed those claw marks were made by Scar trying to 'help' his father, rather throw him off the cliff. I hope that in the remake film they at least do a bit more gore then the original, since it is photo-realistic.

Anyways, thank you for responding to my question. I adore your picture here.

Wow. Este trabajo te quedó genial. Y estoy seguro de que si la película no hubiera sido de un tono infantil de seguro hubiéramos visto algo como esto.
