You know, I think I'm finding some inspiration again. ^^ I was getting a bit worried myself there for a while..
The next painting will be cuteness itself. No killer machine there I'm afraid, haha, although you might (possibly) like it anyhow. (As would probably your friend's snake have done, hehe.)

Yep. A chubby, sleepy, fluffy, feet-in-the-air baby animal. Not my usual thing but I couldn't resist.

Awesome! the shark looks hyper realistic I didn¿t see the non-cropped version, but this one is quite nice. Really admire your eye to catch colors

Yep, both the receiver and I prefer this crop. I'll do that with a rather broad mat - maybe a double layered one - so I don't think I will have to cut the painting though. That way it's always possible to retrieve the other version with another kind of framing, should he feel like it. :)

Tack så mycket! Jag föredrar nog den beskurna versionen själv; bakgrunden blev inte riktigt som jag ville att den skulle bli, trots ett antal försök.. Det är väl nackdelen med akvarell och stora ytor vått-i-vått (och en bristande skill i den tekniken).

Pff! Jodå, men det brukar oftast sluta med att jag inser att jag inte är tillräckligt duktig ännu för att måla det som jag vill och skrotar alltihop Måste nog öva med lite enklare saker först så att jag inte känner mej helt misslyckad Lite bättre koll på penseln skulle nog vara bra...

Your watercolors technique is flawless, no messy bleeding. The colors on the shark are so beautiful. Only the eye looks too black, more hi light would have been too perfect, in my opinion You're so good

Thanks so much for your kind comment! The eye in the reference was pitch black like an abyss, so I modified it with the help of another reference. I have to say that the original freaked me out a little bit; it looked all dead. Maybe that's desirable with a subject like this though..

Thank you! I like it better too, the background never did turn out the way I wanted it to. This painting was a request of sorts, so to be honest I had never thought of painting this kind of subject either - but it was fun to do for that reason.

Thank you again! It's great to get a second opinion, I get a bit blinded by my own work after staring at it for too long.
