This is interesting! The mother attacked because someone entered into the house without any authorisation. But that doesn't mean she should go all zombie on them.
Maybe she is more zombie than human but is still human/zombie. Maybe something happened to her and she was not how she used to be, that is why the family has been hiding, but that doesn't mean the mother could just walk around the house because she has the intelligence to open the door. So I am saying that she is a bit insane and attacked them without asking any questions on why they were there. -Or she attached them so they will leave. She is hiding something!- most likely.
And the little girl could be a zombie, it is a possibility that is most likely.

Heh. This got me thinking, so I did a little back-of-the-envelope calculation. According to "The Contract" comic, Saxton can punch at 2,751 psi. Assuming the contract area of his fist is about 8 in^2, he can punch with 22,008 lb-force= 97,986 Newtons. According to wikipedia, that's a little more than the thrust of a train engine.Β
So yeah. That zombie should be dead.
