Description
A speculative prehistoric idea I've sketched before. Scientists have difficulty telling the difference between male and female Smilodon. This hypothetical version of sabertooth cats behave a little like spotted hyenas: females fight just as hard as the boys (maybe more so). The female cats battle (quite savagely) amongst themselves and males for dominance and food while the males stay out of the matriarch's way.
On the right side:
-a brachiating australopithecus
-a gigantopithecus with an enormous gular sac
-a megalodon being cleaned by a school of clarion angelfish
