I'm laughing cause they're all children except for one adult and one sort of man-child furry adult.
Apparently my type is.......magical girls, smols who are trying their hardest, emotionally constipated dorklords and gay. Which is incredible because these are all things I would use to describe myself. (brb editing my resume)

Like???... I feel like I could have done this a lot longer ago....and put a little more effort into it at that...but I've found myself with such little motivation to do some actual finished works. I just wanted to draw some familiar faces.

Now take this with a grain of salt as not everyone here is a top tier 'super fav'. And that is because I made myself not to add a character from the same franchise/series twice.

1) Nitori Aiichirou - Free!: So I didn't really even notice Ai's character fully until my second full run through of the show. It's like this character was designed to be looked over at first and to be incredibly admired at the second glance. His purpose in the show was to open the heart of another character to allow him further healing and reconciliation from his friends. He could have so easily been the "senpai notice me" archetype and nothing else. Ai calls senpai out on his shit and pushes him to be more open while others would have backed off immediately. He's clumsy and stressed but he's also extremely level-headed and reliable and knows people well. He went to worst on the swim team to one of the best in a matter of a few weeks. He was one of the few characters without a backstory and yet had incredible character development in the little time the show allowed him to be on screen. (which wasn't a lot im a BITTER OLD WOMAN.) He's so wonderful you guys I don't remember the last time I loved a character so much. Anyone who dislikes Aiichirou (and I know they're out there) can fIGHT ME.

2) Cassie - Star Darlings: Holy cheezits i didn't think anyone would get this one but here we are. Disney recently came out with the Star Darlings as a book series and mini web show. It's kind of like their Disney Fairies franchise but with space...and a bit of a care bears edge thrown in. (except instead of 'caring' it's 'wishing') Cassie isn't quite a main character but isn't a minor one either. (she rooms with the arguably main MAIN girl of the series so I guess she gets special vip points) She's artistic, book smart and imaginative!
I discovered this series through the web show (it isn't the best written show and a little...shallow(?) at times, despite the messages it tries to get across. It's trying, at least. There are actually a few episodes I found really enjoyable coughepisode6cough) and eventually started reading the books were I was surprised to see her a bit more moody and quick to get defensive in them, but I really do like that about her. She's a deep thinker and a huge sweetheart! (Piper and Leona are girls from the series I like a lot too!) This series has some...startastic character designs as well oh my god especially the school teachers.

3) Yamaguchi Tadashi - Haikyuu!!: What I love about Haikyuu!! is that it gives characters, who normally wouldnt have been able to have time for development in a huge ass cast like this show, development. It doesn't shove aside the supporting cast completely for the more popular characters (except in merchandising wheres my guchi stuff i want it nOW) and for some, they even get more than one chance to shine. Yamaguchi is an extremely kind, thoughtful and hardworking kid. He's made mistakes. Beat himself up over those mistakes. Worked his ass off and more to stand on the same court as his team. and kicked ASS when he was given a second chance. Best boy. Best star baby. Ultimate COOL GUY.

4) Pidge - Voltron: The Legendary Defender: I haven't even finished this goddamn show and Pidge is going up here cause they're joy and everything pure and good on this earth. I fell in love with this kid within the first ten minutes of the show. Loved their design. Loved their voice actor. Great personality. I can't wait to finish this show. Also I love their friendship with team dad shiro, what a good dynamic. holy heck. I relate to pidge cause I too love peanut butter and get sweaty easily.]

5) Miles Edgeworth - Ace Attorney: I was so pleasantly surprised with this character. When I started the games I knew there was no way I could take him 100% seriously and I was so prepared to force my own dork headcanons onto him and oh my stars I'm so glad I didn't even need to cAUSE JUST LOOK AT THI S canaryko.tumblr.com/post/14627… this is a grown ass man who got a law degree. In Germany. Miles "has a staring contest with his own reflection" Edgeworth. Miles "tried to act festive and then felt too embarrassed so he walked out with his head down and face red" Edgeworth Miles "his courtroom rival makes him feel sweaty and uncomfortable and he mopes about it for like two weeks" Edgeworth. Need I say more.

6) Usagi Tsukino - Sailor Moon: Sailor Moon was the gateway drug into the weeb life style. I saw all that pretty transformation sequence animation and was set for life. I grew up with Serena but fell in love with Usagi. Usagi is the antithesis of what a world savior should be. She's young. She's clumsy. She cries over everything. She's easily distracted and tempted by things she likes. She whines. She falls in love easily. She cares about everyone. EVERYONE. She's not book smart, street smart and doesn't do much aside from playing video games, reading manga, eating junk food and sleeping. It's so incredibly amazing to go through all these seasons and watch her grow up. She matures, but never really deviates from who she is, even when she's expected to be a princess, a hero, a normal teenage girl, ect. She's such a pure hearted soul and my lord do I love her so much.

7) Riku - Kingdom Hearts: KH is easily the thing I'm most in love with atm so I hope I dont deviate too much. I love characters I can watch slowly mature and grow up with. And I literally grew up with riku and everyone from the KH series. In a franchise so in love with it's own whimsicalness and happy themes (its disney.) it hurts double when it gets unhappy and sad. But then makes the payoff so much more wonderful when it comes back to that happy whimsy again. Riku has lost himself, searched for himself, found himself not quite wholly, and is on the road to recovery (to dawn). What I love about riku is that he's such a protective and loving force under an aloof outer shell. He's prideful, arrogant, selfish and moody. But he has so much heart. He lost himself in his own bitter jealousy and insecurities, and hurt the people he loved most in the process. Since then he's given whatever he had left of himself to pick up the pieces he destroyed with his own hands. He came right up to the edge of losing everything he had again to save those he hurt and was given a second chance he didn't think he even deserved. And now he's dedicated himself fully to "protect what matters." I'm tearin up as I right this I love him so much. He deserves so much love you guys. Fav disney prince for sure and i could keep writing but this is a monster already.

8) Sakura -Card Captor Sakura: CCS is my third Magical Girl series (after sm and tokyo mew mew) and impacted me hugely as a child. (And even introduced me to my first canon gay couple in animation. which was pretty good for someone my age.) Sakura is another on the list of people I admire and want to be like. She's incredibly intuitive and unconditionally loving for an elementary schooler. She's very mature for her young age, and adores people so much. In fact everyone in this universe is gorgeous and nice and gay wtf i wanna live there.

9) Sly Cooper -...Sly Cooper: HOOOOOOO here we go. I feel like most people have that one (or more *shifty eyes*) animated anthro character they were weirdly attracted to as a kid and Sly Cooper was mine. He was just supper suave and sassy and idk hes a doll I love him. He also got progressively dorkier as the series went on it's really funny trying to compare first game sly to fourth game sly. Anyways... Sly "I Always was bad at math" Cooper.

10) Haruka - Go! Princess Precure (I thINK) - GUYS I'VE WATCHED TWO EPISODES AND IM INLOVE. Why has nobody told be about precure before like ?? This was one I randomly chose to watch while eating dinner and I was hooked on the first episode. It's for kids, sure but I think its clear by now I love kid stuff. I see so much of my younger self in haruka. She wants to be a princess. Or the fairytale idea of a princess. She wants to wear a big pink dress and be graceful and strong. And she kicks actual ass as the Flora Princess like one second a cute pink fluffy poodle thing is tripping over its ears and the next, our tiny main protagonist is roundhouse kicking a giant robot in high heels and a ballroom gown its like if One Punch Man was dunked in a vat of pink and glitter this is the greatest thing of all time.

(this will be updated witch character names and descriptions on my connection to them and why they're my favorite if people can guess who they are. It's not a very difficult list though lol aside from one or two characters)
