so i've been reworking my next gen lately, and this is my new celestia x tantabus next gen, princess shining star, in her undisguised form. she's about the age of big mac at the start of the show in this picture. she does not have a cutie mark yet, as a natural born alicorn takes much longer to find their natural talent.

not long after the defeat of the tantabus, it escaped, and another attempt to attack luna was made not long after. however, with her defenses on high from the escape, it was unable to overpower the princess of the night. so, it went for the next best thing instead: her sister. celestia, having not been told of the tantabus's escape, or even existence, did not have her guard up, and the tantabus was able to slip in easily enough. not too long after the attack, celestia started feeling ill, and found herself throwing up after almost every meal.

a quick trip to the doctor later, and celestia was told she was pregnant. she was incredibly distraught on the matter, especially considering that she did not have a lover at the time, and a quick scan by the doctor's revealed luna's magic signature. once celestia confronted her sister on the matter... it all came pouring out. everything about the tantabus and it's existence was told, and after a good cry between the two, they came to wonder... what was celestia to do with the life inside her? it was made from evil, sure, but it was an unborn life, who's fate had not yet been decided. and though luna begged her sister to get rid of the creature growing inside her, unsure of what may come forth, celestia decided to give the foal a chance.

the result was dear shining star. her parentage is rather obvious when looking upon her true form, though the only ones aware of this form is celestia, luna and her family, the mane six and their children, and shining armor, cadence, and their children. the general public are unaware of the truth of the princesses's heritage, and it is believed that the princesses's father is a royal guard who donated his sperm.
