one thing that always helps in proper proportion is measuring to see if from the pelvis down is the same as from the pelvis up. unless your character has really long legs on purpose, keep that tactic in mind. im really not sure how to explain all of this descriptionally, perhaps if i made a tutorial that would help? :3
