Description Another practice animation of Nathan. Kind of choppy but I'm still learning.

very nice and clean. I hope you want a bit of critique - I know I would. You should go over the spacing of the arms and hands. both hands do have some pops in them on their extremes. especially the hand closest to us, when it is going backwards. The other one has kind of the same thing, but when it is going forward. When doing a cycle the spacing ont the feet (when they are touching the ground) should be exactly the same from one frame to the other. You might also need a bit more overlap on the feet when they are in the air. bend them even more backwards for contrast. generally just focus on spacing when doing your next assignment.
Anyway, this is great work, and absolutely some of the best I've seen on dA, thumbs up!

Oooh, very nicely done!

May I suggest having a peek at funkyalien's DA gallery? He's also been doing animation recently, and your styles look like they could be compatible, or at least bounce things back off each-other.

Hehe, it's so weird seeing one of your little cat people actually moving. Looks great though!

Excellent work so far, Candy. Nice movement with his tail.

you did a pretty good job with the tail, that's usually the hard part! If you want it to look less choppy, just fill inbetween each frame now (you probably know that) XD

Well I actually took OUT frames to make it look better. He was looking kinda slow with extra frames. Dunno how to explain lol.

ah yeah I understand that, hmm. well, maybe try just adding one every second frame.

What program are you using to do the animations? Are you creating them in Photoshop still, or did you move to Illustrator or another medium?

Try using your original frames again, but reduce the time between them. So between frames 1 and 3, you still have say, 1 second. But if you re-include frame 2, set them to .5 seconds...still 1 second total. Took me forever to get that right when doing some animations (and I'm definitely no pro).

Animating should almost be an art within and of itself honestly, it takes such finesse to get every frame lined up and timed right.
