Yesterday was *Legna03 's 22nd birthday...So I thought of no better way to surprise her than to throw THIS at her. I bet in a million years would you have never guessed you'd one day see this Draga :>>

I present to you possibly the most overdue piece of art I can think of. Back when I first met Draga, we found out that we both had characters named Kaida... thus an art trade was proposed all those years ago in 2007. She finished hers (which she has since removed from deviantART, possibly because it brings back painful memories of broken promises)
Here was my half... abandoned, unfinished, for all eternity...
WELL NO MORE!
I now present this to you, a painful 4 years and 15 hours later, Kaida finally meets Kaida at last!

(btw one day when I open them again, this is a perfect example of what to expect from a "fully rendered" commission)

Ok, took me long enough but here’s my comment-
First of all, you were right, I didn’t expect this at all! When I went to my “Devwatch” page, I did saw the picture of Kaida and Nero and I was excited to see something outta ya, something for Pokemorphic RP. Upon clicking on ‘show all’ for the deviations I had on my devwatch list, I was FLOORED When I saw K-D’s picture next to Kaida and Nero, then the picture of those three characters together. I had to double-check to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me; sure enough it was no trick.
I did wondered why you drew it, since I’ve long dropped the art trade. I clicked on this deviation to read your Artist Comment, there I understood why- It’s a birthday giftart. I do have to admit- someone like you, who’s busy with school, work, life, costumes, loads of artworks you owe people; I didn’t expect you to push all that aside to draw a gift for me.
Ok, onto the picture-
Kaida and Nero first!
I do love how those two look! It has been a while since you’ve drawn them (especially Nero!) and you gave Kaida clothes! I really like how you drew Kaida out, she does look realistic in a way and she has that soft appearance to her compared to a typical Charizard. One thing I really like about Kaida- her wings, wings are one of my favorite things to see in some artworks and the way you drew them out is just gorgeous, and realistic too.
One other thing I like on Kaida is her flaming tail, I like the realistic glow it gives off, and the fact that that glow does reflect off other parts of Kaida’s body and K-D’s too!! That just adds to that realistic effect this picture gives off!
Nero himself has gone through a huge change! The head structure makes him look like a real dinosaur, I hate to say this but he doesn’t look as adorable anymore, at least he’s still smaller than your average Aerodactyl and sometimes it’s hard to make a critter realistic and adorable at the same time, especially if it’s a dinosaur! Regardless, he does look good! 83
Now for K-D!
I love your take on K-D! There’s a huge difference between this one and the old one that you attempted back in 2007 and here she looks BADASS!
I’m liking that stern look on her face, she doesn’t look that pissed off, she just does look uneasy. Does she see Kaida and Nero as enemies? Or as bystanders that means her no harm? Let’s pray that it’s the latter!
I’m stunned by the details you’ve put into her clothing! So much folds and such! That gotta be one of my favorite things you drew on her! And you even paid attention to the small details on her jacket! Not everyone seems to get that part down. And I also like the torn bits of fabric hanging from the damaged cuffs on her jeans!
One of my FAVORITE part of K-D has to be her feet! You pulled them off gorgeously! The anatomy’s beautiful and realistic too, they do look like a tyrannosaurus rex’s feet (minus the claws). Seriously, I cannot stop staring at those feet! And the fluffy mane that runs down from her head to the end of her tail, it does look so soft that I wanna cuddle it! But that may be a bad idea XD;

Lolololololololol~ I remember seeing that old picture. But ah ha ha oh wow...this is just FANTASTIC! Especially when you did Kaida, dang girl that's details right there! Lighting and everything is just fantastic though I'm surprised you didn't add a simple shadow underneath K-D and Kaida.

Hmmm... I really like the clothes of the one on the right. The colors are all working together on her. The hands are very well done on her, and they are done in a way I have never seen on anything. It is kind of odd to be able to say that, really, but I appreciate the way you handled it! She seems sad in her own way with slim confidence with how she relates. I don't know if you meant that, but if you did, it was perfectly done. I could waste your time telling you how much I liked both chars, but I can save you the time.

LOVE the expressions on Nero and K-D....and Kaida the Charizardess wearing shorts...a nice touch.
