Description Spoiler Warnings for Blue Drop, Kannazuki No Miko, and Yuri Kuma Arashi

Ok. So, I've been trying to watch more yuri anime lately.  I just finished the anime Blue Drop and the end made me so sad. Before that, I also watched Yuri Kuma Arashi which also had a really sad ending. Both anime kind of reminded me vaguely of Kannazuki no Miko which was the first yuri anime I watched. All 3 are fantasy and/or sci-fi yuri anime with a tragic ending where the characters die sacrificing themselves to save something. In Kannazuki no Miko, Chikane must have herself be sacrificed by her love Himeko's hands in order to save the world. In Blue Drop,  Hagino commits suicide by ramming into the invading fleet of  her former alien comrades in a valiant, albiet in the end, entirely ineffective, attempt to save both the world and the human girl that she's grown to love so much. In Yuri Kuma Arashi, Lulu (shown in both bear and humans form) takes a fatal gunshot wound by jumping in front of her best friend Ginko to save her from a violent group of homophobic school girls that try to murder her. In the end, however,  although its a bit disimbigious, it seems the hate group shoots Ginko and her lover Kureha dead anyway, but Lulu's sacrifice buys them enough time to reconcile with each other, Kureha to accept Ginko and her feelings for her,  and the two to kiss and hold each other in their arms while being shot dead.   I thought these 3 heroic ladies deserved a little tribute and plus I needed to vent after watching so many yuri with depressing ends.(P.S. Kureha's not in the pic because I kind of ran out of room.)
