Hey guys remember when I used to make clean, non-sketchy lineart with proper flat coloring?
It takes freaking forever.
I drew these the Sunday after the deadline was called. It took pretty much all day and then at the end I noticed proportion errors. asfdj. Obviously, spoilers ahead if you haven't read both the finale entries yet.

Left version: Aureus at some point after my entry, after he's had some time to adjust to the modern world. He might wear a glove over the artificial hand in public; even though he hates having a glove on it (I imagine it wouldn't fit all that well due to the skeletal shape of the hand) he would probably want to avoid as much attention there as he could. As far as what he's doing now, I'm not entirely sure yet. It's hard to say exactly where he'll go or what he'll do; the 1800s was a time when all kinds of technological advancements were being made, but at the time in which he finds himself now, those have been pretty well explored and technology has moved into directions he doesn't understand. So that would be a big thing to adjust to in itself. I can imagine he'll be feeling pretty lost for a while, but he does have Rose to help him out, and possibly other tournament friends/acquaintances, depending on where they all end up going. Even if Rose was stuck working for the Thief, she's used to living in the modern times, and she could help him get acclimated to the whole thing and not feel so alone. As far as work goes, he can fix old clocks and machinery so maybe he does that for some income (he wouldn't want to just fix clocks forever, so maybe he restores historical machinery for museums or something, if that's a thing that needs doing), and maybe on the side he's learning more about modern electronics and such from books and things (and the internet, if it doesn't just totally overwhelm him. I imagine he would have so many conflicting emotions over learning about and trying to use the internet). Also, he's discovered sweatervests.

Right (noncanon) version: some point after Shinkoryu14 's entry, where he got to return to his own time. His tophat and things were left at the hotel, and most of the clothes he was wearing were probably pretty much ruined because of pakpak quills all over. The white shirt is the same because all of the damage to it was under the other clothes, so by his logic if he stiches the holes up and doesn't have to take the coat off, the shirt is still perfectly fine. He has a lot of scars from his fight with Mama, but they're all hidden by clothing. He had a lot of ideas going before the quest for the discovery the Thief stole, so he would return to working on those. There would be a lot of confusion and curiosity as to why he's suddenly reemerging into society again and why the new scars, but of course he wouldn't talk about the tournament and it would remain a mystery for everyone else. He might also try to reconnect with family, who are kind of sparse and scattered around the country, but still out there (I think I made minor mention of a cousin at one point; he's probably one of the first people he'd try to track down. I'll post a picture of this guy later because one's been sitting in my stash forever).
