New commission just completed. These are three flyball and agility dogs belonging to a friend. Kye (Gsd x ) Taz (Border Collie) and Pepper (Cocker Spaniel). Taz is a blue and white BC for those not familiar with that colour.The piece is 22"x14" and mostly acrylic on waterfod hotpress watercolour paper. Some airbrushing was used on the foreground and background.

Beautiful picture! The dogs are just perfect and I really like the blur effect - it makes the picture look more like a photography.

Also, Kye the GSD x had his nose twisted quite a lot in the ref photo...I pointed it out to the owner as it stood out like a sore thumb...and we agreed for me to straighten it up a bit

I took the ref photo too and the owner chose that photo to be painted. Just a few minor alterations were made such as getting rid of bits of grass that were distracting and toning down the trees in the background as they were a bit too bright in the photo.

You always get the lighting spot on, especially with the fur... outstanding work!

Nice work! I really love your use of the airbrush. Some artists seem to overdo it, but you have a nice balance.

Thanks....I usually do normal brushwork first then airbrush over the top.
