Description Winchester, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom, Winchester Castle - situated outside of the south gate of The Great Hall is recreation of the medieval herbarium opened to the public in 1986. The garden was named after Eleanor of Provence, wife of Henry III, and her daughter in law Eleanor of Castile, wife of Edward I.
