Trying my hand at lineless art again...here's Tawnypelt. She's just effortlessly cool and has a lot of good sense. While I wouldn't name her as one of my very favorite characters, she's still up there. It's just easy to forget about her because the rest of her family insists upon being as dramatic and evilish as possible, and she's the only one whose head is screwed on correctly, so she sometimes gets overlooked in the whirlwind of CRAZY that is Tigerstar, Brambleclaw, Hawkfrost, and to a lesser extent Mothwing.

She's in front of the lake here because obviously she's one of the chosen questers from The New Prophecy. She provided a lot of good sense and balance to the group. Again, everyone else insisted upon creating drama - Crow/Feather, Storm&Feather's sibling issues, Bramble&Squirrel getting snippy - so when discussing TNP fans tend to focus on that, but Tawnypelt was really awesome too!

That's not even talking about her character subplot in the original arc, where she was brave enough to go join her dad in ShadowClan. Goddamn the ThunderClan elders were being utterly awful to her, though. Ughhh. I'm glad she found a place she felt more at home in. Why don't we talk about Tawnypelt more? She sure deserves it.

...also she became mates with one of Warriors' resident transgender cats*, so she's not bigoted either.
*Rowanclaw was described as female in the original arc
