This is a piece done for : :, for her awesome Beyblade fic: Sooryavansham. Do I often do requests? No, but it's not like I'm doing this for nothing. Asnada's story is extremely well written in terms of character, plot, and detail. One picture is the least I could do to repay her for the enjoyment I get from reading the story : ) She is Sholay on fanfiction(dot)net, beyfans should deffo check it out.

Now, apologies because this is definitely not the best I could do (but not the worst either). (A bad habit of mine: I get lazy, I lose inspiration, I rush =__ I remember saying somewhere that I am horrible at backgrounds, and this picture is proof of that XD

Congratulations Canyx, you have butchered your own drawing! BRILLIANT!

Anywho...
I am semi-satisfied with the Dranzers. Yes, I can do a way more detailed picture of the beasts but for this sketch I was focusing more on bold color than that feather detail, which is also why I used black to do the shadowing. The thing in the middle just looked so horrible to me I tried to erase, or at least lighten it, and I am happy with the 'light' effects shooting across the birds, but that abhorrent circle is still there in the middle.
Also, I had two scanned versions, one without the smudges and is generally lighter in tone, and this one. The circle int he other one looks more celestial/ephemeral, but the stark whiteness of rest of the paper made it look worse. IMO, the roughness of the smudges and darker circle in this background can sort of work....

Overall, I like my phoenixes, I am not so proud of my coloring, but overall I am satisfied.
