Description For those of you who don't know anything about Chinese history or culture, you might need to know just who exactly these two are.

In the story Feng Shan Yan Yi or Investiture of the Gods, the goddess Nu Wa (the girl on the right) took her revenge on the last King of the Shang Dynasty, King Zhou Xin by sending one of her servants, a devious Fox Spirit known as Da Ji to seduce him and drive his mind away from important affairs of state, leading to the Empire's decay. Why vengeance? In his youth, Zhou Xin had once wrote lewd comments on a statue of the Goddess, Nu Wa, angering her with his lechery.

Eventually the plan succeeded and the Shang were over thrown by Ji Fa, or King Wu of the Zhou. (A different Zhou from the king.) As Da Ji on earth had been a cruel and powerful vixen, inventing tortures and killing hunfdreds of people for pleasure, the goddess Nu Wa then decided to bring her back to the heavens, and punish her appropriately for her misdeeds. Now they never explained that in the story, so I decided to take advantage of that vacuum.

This was a collaboration between me and Erikson (as usual) with the linearts (the two girls, Dragon and Pheonix)done by myself and the colors done by Erikson As usual, Erikson does a superb job in capturing the divinity of the girls, and the power and majesty of the two most important creatures in Chinese culture. The character designs were taken from KOEI's Warriors Orochi series.

I hope you lot enjoy and I hope you also learned a little something as well!

I'm really blown away by the detail you put into your costumes - not to mention the impressive amounts of detail you put into the scenarios. It's very interesting!

I'm certain the gods could come up with an appropriately devious punishment. :3 <3

I wonder why there isn't any reference to Feng Shen Yan Yi in the game Warriors Orochi 2, there should be a lot of things to talk about.

In the novel, Da Ji was beheaded by Jiang Ziya, or Taigong Wang in the game.

I've got to hand it to both you and to Erikson on this one. Your linework and detail in their outfits is just fantastic, and Erikson knocked it out of the park with his colors - some of his best yet, I think!

Very, very well done!

Oh, It is "Feng Sheng/Shen Yan Yi"

I think it is Shen because in chinese, Shen is god/mystic/deity.

Great Art. Now let see if Shin Orochi(Orochi X) can defeat and capture Nu Wa, lo.

The picture is a work to behold. And the story behind it makes it even better. A truly outstanding artwork.

History with some really great visuals. Hard to top that. Gives some ideas on how that contest of yours might work as well. Awesome collab here.

I'm personally a bigger fan of Nu Wa's design herself, so it's a little pity she isn't bound and gagged... but from the detail present in both the characters and the background, to the color impact, this satisfies.

Great job on all your parts.
