Description
This girl has been bouncing around in my head for a couple of months now. I was looking at my French bulldog one day and was thinking how gorgeous she is and how I should design a character after her markings. So here is my French bulldog as a lioness! I muted her coloration to go with her name meaning.

Here is my inspiration:

I don't think I've ever been so pleased with a character design. She's exotic, but not a "sparkle lion". I like my characters to stand out but at the same time be believable.

About Kanya:

- Her name means "pale" I'll give a cookie to anyone who can figure out where I got the name Please note that she is NOT a white lion, she is just very pale.
- She's always been a bit of a loner. The only lioness she allows close to her is her sister Uhuru.
- She is often teased for her appearance because of her odd coloration. As a cub, she hated her uniqueness, but as an adult she embraces it. There is only one Kanya, accept it
- She often dreams of finding true love but doubts that it exists. *she's a constant daydreamer and a hopeless romantic* She's very fussy about males (preferring males with dark coats which tend to be rare in her area) and she does not trust easily.
- The cubs of her pride are her main focus. She is more of a caregiver than a hunter. Her small stature limits her abilities, but she can keep up when she wants to. (when she chooses to!) She dreams of being a mother someday and puts her maternal instinct towards her nephew Solo
- She is a deep thinker and is very contemplative. She is prone to bouts of sadness because of it, but will often force herself to see the world as "glass half full" to escape it.
- Her ancestral land is in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but because the area is war torn, they were forced to flee to Tanzania. She will never let go of her home, it is where she belongs and hopes to return someday. She will feel lost until she does.

Her appearance:

-As mentioned above, she is designed after my French bulldog, Trinity. So because my dog's markings are unique, I claim ownership over Kanya's design (aka I don't want to see any Kanya clones!!)
- Her nose, like my dog's nose, is two-toned. Light in the center, dark toward the edges.
- Her ears are large and come to a point (as does my dog's)
- Her tail tip always ends in a curl
- Her body is completely smooth (no fuzziness on the elbows or cheeks) with the exception of her chin. Her coat is smooth and silky. It has a tendency to glow in the sunlight.
