Do any of you believe that The Simpsons have been on the air for 30 years now!? I honestly can not believe it either but it’s true! It is one of the longest running cartoons and one of the longest running TV shows of all time! I don’t really watch this show a lot but it still holds a important part in cartoon and TV history! The show started as simple shorts on the Tracey Ullman show until it became its own TV series in 1989 and it revolutionize the adult cartoon industry! We would not have shows like South Park or Family Guy if The Simpsons didn’t started it all! Could you imagine what adult cartoons would be like if Matt Groening did not step in when he did? I certainly would not.
Even though The Simpsons is not as good as it once was, it still tries to remain smart, thoughtful and topical for 30 years! This show has managed to produce many amazing jokes and moments perfect for shitposting and memes! This show has tons of great cameos and references, the shows success brought us The Simpsons Movie, The Simpsons ride, tons of merchandise and being featured in advertisements! This show also somehow manages to predict the future! It predicted 9/11, Donald Trump becoming president and Super Bowl LI and This show has over 600 episodes and 30 seasons that’s completely insane! So to celebrate 30 years of The Simpsons I drew the iconic Yellow skinned family sitting on their iconic couch like they do in the intro of the show, but who’s that sitting on the rug? It’s me in The Simpsons art style! The Simpsons invited Me to hang out and watch TV with them! So with that said Here is to 30 years of The Simpsons!
