Yes, yes, another Dalek drawing, but they're just so darned fun!Daleks are living creatures inside little personal "tanks" so you'd suspect that there have to be young daleks, children so to speak. Leave it to me to even think about something like that, and then not to be outdone take it to a rediculous extreme. So, here's my Dalek family, Mum, Dad and Offspring on a typical Saturday afternoon, proving that no matter what galaxy you're from fathers will always get a little too excited over kid's sports.
Done entirely in CorelDRAW. Daleks were created by Terry Nation for the BBC TV series Dr Who.

Lucky! I have a Dalek on my bookshelf in the master bedroom, but I don't get to interact with him much. He's sitting next to my Dr. Zoidberg figure at the moment, so I'm not sure who's having a rougher time on the shelf.

It occured to me some time after I posted this that Daleks might be more at home playing Cricket. Oh well. On this side of the Atlantic, sadly, Daleks aren't very well known... which completely ruins my plan of dressing my baby up as a Kaled mutant for Halloween. I suppose she'd look like an octopus, which isn't so bad in itself. (Yes, I am ACTUALLY looking around for a stuffed Dalek for her to play with. Sort of sad.)

Dude, if I could find a Dalek plushie online, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! I did see someone on DA who made a Dalek hat, believe it or not ^_^ And which "side of the Atlantic" are you from anyway? I'm from NY and thanks to Sci Fi channel, among other things, Doctor Who is developing a following out here.

I'm a midwesterner myself. I'm in St. Louis now, but growing up in Kansas we got Doctor Who on friday nights at 10:30 on PBS. I grew up watching Tom Baker so he'll always be the quintesential Doctor to me, but I really like the way David Tenant portrays the character with his manic energy. I mentioned to Nettie the other day that the Doctor in the old show was sort of a tour guide, giving his companions a tour of the universe and always in some degree of control even when things didn't go as plan. In the new show, the Doctor himself seems to be the tourist who knows a little something about where he's visiting but overall completely enthralled by the newness of every situation. I like each in their own way.
I saw somewhere on line, think it was also DA, where someone knitted a little stuffed dalek. Maybe someday someone will have a stuffed Dalek for sale. At the moment, however, I'm having fun with the 8 inch figure my wife got me for Christmas. It's been almost 30 years in coming, but at last I can have my own little exterminator on my desk.

You've got a good point about that. Could be that without the Time Lords there to sorta supervise things, maybe time-space has gotten more wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey than is good for the universe. He certainly seems less in control of things than ever these days.
Hee hee! I have my own little Doctor Who collection m'self. Two Sonic Screwdrivers [the pen and the flashlight. I paint the pen versions, too. Go see in my gallery!], the "Dalek w/ Mutant Reveal," and the Doctor in the blue pinstripe suit with the specs and red Converse [I HAVE THOSE SHOES! o3o]. The Sonic Screwdriver is the best! I'm even making an actual philip's head screwdriver tip for mine!
