Nature / Characteristic: Bold, Proud of it's power

Personality: Vairna is quite the feisty and durable little bug, the type that you'd have to spray for at least half an hour before you get through to it and even then her little leg would still twitch away. She's not one to give up easily so she'd definitely love to step up to the plate as leader or just a pep talker to a sad crowd. She always loves putting up fights and loves going in head first without thinking since that would take far too long to strategize! Who needs it when you have brute force, right? Another thing that seems to be tagging along with her impatient mindset is a bit of a quick temper. She can be easy to irritate at times which ruins her fighting style even more but she tries to control this the best she can. Vairna isn't all bite though, she's one to snuggle and joke with friends, relax and heck, read a book once and awhile. She tries her best to flaunt a positive energy to those around her, especially if they were to form a bond with her, doing her best to be a team player, even if her ego can step ahead of her at times.

Home Island: Ruby Island
Hometown: Dusty Village

History: Vairna's upbringing was anything but boring-- well, it wasn't anything extravagant either. Being home schooled, she didn't have many ways of making friends so she had to find other ways to entertain herself. She could often be found playing with toys made out of mud, sticks and leaves whilst wearing the muddiest of capes around her neck, ordering around each and every little imaginary friend she could think of. She wasn't born into a rich or even middle class family so she had to be creative! She didn't complain. She could make her own toys, her own rules! How cool was that??

This part of her childhood would translate into her later years where she would use her creative ideas to help out her family. She'd either make useful tools to sell or use them to just simply do something within their household. She wasn't the best craftsman since she was still quite young but her family appreciated the help nonetheless. Vairna didn't even care about the few coins she'd receive from her inventions and only accepted it to help her family out. If she truly didn't need it, it would've been going to those less fortunate than her or she'd just be giving her stuff away for free! Now, she wasn't the angel type, she had a few rough patches here and there with a few pokemon that didn't know how to mind their own business, which caused her to become quite the hot head and get into a few fights. It was hard for her to control herself when the bullies would tease her about her clothes or her silly hobby choices. This eventually became a reoccurring thing, so much so that once she came home with a black eye her mother had forbidden her from selling her inventions or anything to help get some money. This devastated poor Vairna! How could her mother do such a thing? Doesn't she know she's only been defending herself and trying to help? She grew so frustrated that in an angry fit of tears, she screamed hurtful things to her mother before storming out into the forest. If only she knew that September 12th wasn't the best day to do so.

She was huddled up against a rock, hiccuping sadly to herself as she kept replaying the same scenario in her head over and over. Wait, why was their thunder in the scenario this time? There wasn't-- Loud claps of thunder and flashes of lightning erupted the sky and clouded her thoughts just as much as it did the sky. She held herself tighter for a moment as she stared up at the clouds with a fear she'd never felt before. Home. Go home. She...couldn't move. She just kept hearing the loud noises while getting pelted by sand so hard it felt like hail. Eventually she managed to get up, slipping and falling against the sandy floors. Wait, was this where she came in from?? She could've sworn she passed that cactus--er, how could she be sure?! No. Noooo! She was lost. Lost and out in the open. The terrified bug eventually crawled underneath a dried tree, as unsafe as her situation was, the Venonat hugged herself to try and keep herself warm. Vairna couldn't sleep. She was too busy watching out for any dangers as she fended off flying sand and debris that had tried soaring into her eyes. Finally, from what seemed like days although it had only been a few hours, the skies were clearer than before and all the harsh winds seemed to have stopped. Though...the world looked different. It seemed angrier and dirty, not something she remembered. She didn't dilly-dally because something felt very off, as if she could feel that if she stayed there, she would've regretted it. It took awhile but she made her way home-- or...someplace she could've sworn was home. She called out for her parents but got no response in return, just silence and devastation from all around her. What had happened?! Where were her parents?... What was she going to do?

About a month or so after the disaster day, Vairna was still living in some sort of homeless shelter. She hadn't heard any news about her parents since that terrible day but she just knew they had to be out there. They had to be safe. She didn't want to accept any other possibility! The world was still feeling rather chaotic when she overheard something about an Exploration Guild, those who were determined to help and rescue those in need. This immediately sent a throb to her heart. She knew what she had to do. She needed to set off to join this guild. It was like her calling! She'd do her best to find her parents and help others along the way, sounds easy, doesn't it? What could go wrong?

With determination in her heart she grabbed a hold of some useful trinkets she figured she could make into something along the way and set off-- or...more so followed those who were on the same path as her. It would be a long trip but it had to be one that was ultimately worth it in the end, or so she hoped.
