Another two great pages!
This was really well done with the silent frames. I liked the thoughts that MIGHT be Erik's on page 7, and then they seem to die off and he's an ordinary dragon as the Indians ride in.
I did pick up right away the language was Native American. I thought it might be Navajo but can't be sure. The outfits of the riders look very like a mixture between Navajo and one of the Plains Tribes (Crow, Lakota, etc). The hint of a horned dragon mount is interesting-- that kind of hand painting on the steed is very much a Lakota tradition.
All in all, your style here is very different from the animated movie style of TLNF, but I like it because it matches the story.

Yeah. I unfortunately ran out of inspiration for TLNF. It got too... Complicated. More about the art than the story.
This is an alternative of flat colours for backgrounds and simple characters, but still with style. It conveys what it's supposed to and even though it's not totally detailed, it does the job well c:

I kind of figured that was what happened in TLNF. It was a good exercise for you, though.
There is something to be said for the backgrounds and designs being kept simple, as a lot of graphic novels follow that approach. It helps keep the focus on the story, and a good story can bring you into the characters' feelings, along with the artwork.
I'm kind of interested that, if these Native Americans are Lakota or Cheyenne derived, how did they wind up in a desert landscape, one that definitely would not support their type of lifestyle. Your AU Old West probably has some interesting geographic and cultural changes from the Analog Old West that makes the map of the Midwest and Western North America very different.
