I think everyone expected that that would happen. But I also think no one wanted it...
Of course it's an important step in character development, but "sad things are sad" T.T

That would be a nice turning of events. But I think this won't happen. I mean they (police/Randys family/emergency?) called Grant and they made a funeral for Randy. So I think there was a dead Randy, even if we didn't see his body by ourselfs... I repeat myself "sad things are sad T.T"
But "hope dies last"! I also wish for a scenario in which Randy is still alive...

I just kept thinking, "Ohhhh, somethin's gonna happen..." and lo and behold...

I'm hoping that Randy's not dead. I know that sounds odd, but sometimes they make a mistake identifying the body. I know his parents and sister pry IDed it, but still it could have been a plant and those other two people who were at the warehouse that night they went to the fair have him locked somewhere to let Grant's guard down. I dunno, it's just my hope I guess...
