J. K. mentioned at some point, that Draco never really like Pansy all that much and she certainly never wanted the two to end up toghether. That's because she based Pansy's character on her own bullies and pretty much hated her.

Imagine my surprise when I found out Draco's wife is Astoria Greengrass, someone never mentioned throughout the series at all. I would have been less surprised if he ended up with Moaning Myrtle.Β
At least we heard of Hannah Abbot(Neville's future wife) and Angelina Johnson (Fred's ex-girlfriend and George's future wife) in the series.Β
