Desmond, 1.0 '06 Bairds Rat SnakeThe Bairdis are so awesome to watch as they mature. They start off grey with dark grey saddles that slowly turn orange or yellow, depending on the area they come from. As adults they are transformed into a silver metallic snake with the orange or yellow peaking through between the scales. Just beautiful animals. Mine are named with a Beatles theme and consist of Tangerine, Marmalade, Desmond, and Molly. I have both the yellow and orange versions...

Lol, I may breed them next year and I'll update their pics soon as they've changed quite a bit since these photo's... They're starting to get their metallic look

well I would like to know if you do decide to breed them because right now I can't have one but by the time you do breed them I will be able to get one

Lol, great planning. I should breed them next year, but we'll see if they make weight. My '06's are almost as large as my '05's from another breeder... Might end up breeding at least one pair..

Not only a gloriously fantastic snake, and a wonderful photography... but also a friggin' brilliant theme for their names! We've got our "Lucy in the Skies" and our "Ob-La-Di" treatments going on... That just rules!!!

Oh, I also picked up two more non feeder Floridana... another Hypo Orange female and a High Orange male. They both just ate for me too.... so pics coming some time soon...

It's funny because indoors you see more pupil than iris so I was amazed at the large olive eyes on these guys. We were talking about that very thing on the forum... [link]

Thanks, I think with better light it would have come out a little clearer, but it will do for a documentation pic. I have a program that tracks all my animals and couldn't stand seeing his deli cup pic anymore
