There is a very harmonious fusion of the dogs face and the colours and pattern... and at the same time -because of the geometrical pattern - there is somehow movement in the harmony. I think this picture is very convincing!

I love shooting with an aperture of F/1.4 or f/2.8. You really end up with a neat blurred background and I use Adobe Lightroom in my bag of tricks. I hope that helps.
