One of the things I really like about the Gunstar - and the Starfuries from Babylon 5 - is how they behave far more realistically than many sci-fi ships, using reaction thrusters to change attitude, and continuing in a given direction regardless of attitude until thrust is applied to change direction of travel.

I always thought that the Gunstar probably inspired the design of Wing Commander's A-14E Raptor heavy starfighter - especially when its eight-pointed star insignia (enclosed in a circle, thus becoming an embellished version of the astrological symbol for Earth) became the roundel of the Terran Confederation later on in the series.

MS Paint, and I just picked a scale many years ago, on my first fighter, and just stayed with it...I really couldn't tell you what the scale is...LOL

Wow, no wonder it's the last. So bulky that we could have shot it out of the sky during WW I! Then again it does have side mounted laser turrets and... Ok, I have no idea what I'm talking about. What are the specs?

Well, first off, it's a two man fighter. Now as far as the armamen (guessing on some of this, as I've not seen the movie ages). It's got 5 Large turreted laser cannon. 4 energy bolt launchers that lock onto, and follow it's target. Missile launchers (power is such that a couple missiles can severly damage a large capital ship). And the ultimate, one time only Deathblossem mode. The Deathblossem basically is all the thrusters go off in such a way that it spins, and the front faces all directions quickly, and multiple times. As hidden super missile racks open up, and it basically preformes an alpha strike, till all ammunition is spent (lasts a couple minutes). Also the targeting computer can lock onto anything within a large sphear around the ship. And can lock onto muliple targets at once.
