The left front leg seems to be positioned oddly, and the tail is a bit misshapen, but all in all, it is a great work, and definitely a very original concept. Good Job.

Just stumbled across this in somebeast's favorites.
Jaw-dropping goodness. Such a strong image, and I've been eyeing it for a while trying to decide why it's so striking.
The dramatic positioning, and the value contrasts are clever. You were very thoughtful with the use of color temperature to create an extremely realistic sense of light on form.
This is simple, but amongst one of your more successful, I think. It's more captivating than some of your more recent things, somehow.

I'll be the four-hundredth to say "wow," but I'll still say it: wow. I love how you give both animals dues - the otter has a sleek form and a degree of playfulness, and yet the orca's slow grace and rubbery feel have not been abandoned. Normally I might say that a furry texture wouldn't be out of place, but the pose is swimming, and the otter's coat is skin-like under the water. So, the whole thing is exotic, but true to itself.
