COULD I BUY THE DIARY FROM YOU? VERY SERIOUS.

Erm... not really.

Much as I really appreciate the compliment If I were to sell it then I wouldn't have a River Song diary of my own, plus I really don't think it's good enough, there are quite a few imperfections which don't show up on the photo.

It wasn't too difficult to make, it took me about a day.

If you like I could put together some detailed instructions for you to make your own.

Er, sorry about this. Looking to make something similar for my girlfriends birthday and I noticed your comment of "If you like I could put together some detailed instructions for you to make your own."
Is there any chance of getting these? :/

are these ok...

Need – Cardboard, craft foam, light blue paint, dark blue paint, black wash, a makeup remover pad or two (dry) pva glue, bostik all purpose super glue, paper... I think that’sit.

Cut a sheet of cardboard 7 and a half inches by 11 and a half inches.

Fold the card inwards, vertically, forming too covers, 5 inches wide, and a central spine.

Run the spine are through your fingers to make a smooth curve.

To hide the corrugated look of the cardboard cover the entire thing in thin card.

To build the patter on the faces use a sheet of craft foam. I would give you the dimensions I used however mine was done by sight and isn’t very accurate, I would suggest looking at a few pics for yourself, the same goes for the spine.

Coat in matt black emulsion, this stops the blue paint being absorbed into the foam and it looking uneven.

Paint the raised areas a not too bright but not dark blue, the same goes for the entire spine.

Paint the none raised areas of the faces a dark blue.

To age the cover liberally add a black wash and then quickly wipe off with a makeup remover pad.

To form the pages, I used parchment paper, cut to size, scrunched up a little and then flattened out, this makes the edges nice and ruffled.

Cut a piece of paper which is the length of the paper and 2 centimetres wider than the width of the book (depending on how curved the spine is.

Fold the paper inwards, vertically forming two 1cm flaps on each side.

Coat the paper on both sides with pva glue and wait for it to dry.

Once dry glue a page to each of the flaps.

Take the other pages, bang them against a table, lightly, to make sure one vertical side is flat and level.

Coat the paper spine in Bostik All Purpose super glue and then insert the other pages, flat side first.

Hold the pages in place or place them up against something to stop the pages coming loose.

Once the glue is set and all pages are secure, glue the ridges of the outside of the paper spine to those on the inside of the cardboard one.
