thank you, I use photoshop to only edit the entire photos look so that what you see is like seeing the drawing in person so no added effects or smoothing of any kind all drawn by hand

Simply...amazing. I'm a car artist but this is way beyond the level I'm at. So many points on this I see that I want to be able to capture! Amazing values blacks are rich and beautiful! Using values instead of lines to signify a change is something I'm not comfortable with, but trying to fix. I love the headlights they are amazging I can't draw headlights to save my life. I have recently fell in love with chrome and reflections in shiney wurfaces. Yours are stunning and capture the feel perfectly! The seats and rearview mirror are so awesome, I neder draw them because they are so blurry or hard to give detail on. Its almost as I could feel the seats.
Questions! To try to break out of my shell and better my drawings I just bought a recommended bristol drawing book and 2h-8b pencil set. I have always used a plain sketch paper and one 32 mechanical pencil. So...do you like bristol paper for this type of drawing? Does it hold up well to large area shading? And do you have any tips on using values for shading or working with different pencil hardness? I am new to using the diferent ones.
Thanks so very much this is an amazing piece! <3 Dodge!

Thank you so much for your comment !
Bristol paper is some of the best you can get I use Bristol 2ply smooth which gives you a very smooth lay down of graphite. I'm not big on using different pencils. I tend to use a .7 lead pencil for most of my shading. Using the same pencil lets you get a feel for how much pressure you should apply for creating each tone. I do use 8b or 9b for heavy blacks and an hb for the sketching part. When i use the lead pencil i look at the tip of the lead which if you hold the pencil at an angle creates a sharpen point if you turn the pencil you can use that point for creating dark and mid tones but if you flatten it out you'll find you can make light tones when your shading try to capture all the tones from lightest to darkest smoothing it out to paper white helps you to create bright highlights. For small sharp highlights take a retractable eraser and cut the end off to make a 45 degree angle this give you a sharp eraser point for the finest highlights and good control.

I hadve used the same mechanical pencil brand for all my drawings. I'm trying to work with different value pencils but thinking about just sticking with the one I have. I wanted them because I could never get a good black.
How do you get a good blend on this paper? To me it feels like drawing on a poster board. I like using my mechanical pencil because the darker you make it the more graphite it puts down and you can blend well.

for shading i use a method called circlism where you make very small circles making you take more time laying down your graphite and giving the shading a more even and controlled look use a blending stump for in the same way to smooth the graphite out even more. blending stumps work best on your dark tones and q tips or tissues for your lights
