12" X24" acrylic paintingWhen I visited my best friend in Europe, who lives in Sweden, we spent a week in Stockholm site seeing and photgraphing. One of my favorite scandinavian adventures was in Gamla Stan(old town) seeing the colorful paint on the buildings and the unique doors, glims, and store signs, so sometimes, as here, those memories crowd out my kitty paintings!
(thank you to for giving me the word glim to edit/add to the title and description, I am a country gal... we just call them lanterns!!!)

Sweden it is such a pretty, low paced, and peaceful place to be, during the summer. This was a street in the old part of Stockholm called Gamla Stan - which means old town. [link]

well, i truly can not take any credit... i have the advantage of choosing to paint such enjoyable things... that maybe i have an unfair advantage!!LOL i just love to portray, with paint, all the special and lovely things in life that make our world such a wonderful place to be!!! i could paint doom and gloom if I so desired, but I much prefer to put a smile on others faces than to dwell on imperfections that are not the only thing that life has to offer!!! i think we see what we choose and that choice becomes habit, so i simply choose to see what makes me(and hopefully others) smile/grin is all! call me an optimist, i guess!
