Hey carlos, thought you might be interested to read "Mariana", a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, the 19th Century British poet. There's a striking similarity between his poem (available at [link] ) and the image you have conjured here.
Lovely work.

What a nice tribute for Lady Heidi Ames ...
Those are very sad words .. yet powerfull.
The picture to go with it is amazing.
I love how soft it is.
You kept everything in the Earth tones ... very nice.

It means a lot to me that you like this graphic. Conforming the texturing becomes more and more detailed I've had to come out with ideas to light up in a way that the scene becomes a whole, showing some elements, but not too much of them. In this particular graphic that became an issue. The trick here was hiding the eyes. That sets the whole feeling of the scene and gives it a whole different meaning. Also, it was keeping the Earth tones (mostly yellow and brown) in enough amount to give it a certain "old" quality. She's wearing a male's jacket, that belongs to someone who isn't on the scene, waiting for a meeting that will never take place. So it all becomes more cinematic if she lets slip the rose (that has a source of light inside the rose) and fall. The "soft" quality on it is achieved overexposing the scene with lots of white spotlights close to the surfaces, so the dress reflects all the light, but keeps some on the texturing.
