Cross fingers! They HAVE to see the show, we still don't know what happened to Evan and Dyan in the Anomaly hub! The suspense is KILLING ME... almost as much as it did at the end of Season 1 of Primeval!

Well, Primeval has a fan base, obviously, but it's not an appreciated show (in fact, it could be much better!

I think that Primeval was the best TV show ever made, even if it was British (not trying to be offensive but I heard they're not the best at this stuff)! Yeah, sure this isn't the original and Primeval will probably never air again, but this is the best we've got and it even has a connection to the old show so I'm as happy as can be! Yeah, it is true that only Connor stands for the connection between the two and I think they should have gotten Becker, Abby and maybe even Matt for that one scene it Britain but hey, they had the Anomaly Closing Device so I'm good! So what if it's a little show with new characters that may not be as good as the originals, it's still Primeval and there are still dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures running through fourth-dimensional magnetic holes in time! What more can the fans want?!

Right! I completely agree with you! Of course I'd like to see Connor or Abby or Matt, or the great James Lester! But this is a spin-off, people, accept it. There are new characters, not so charismatic, but great after all: I'm in love with Dylan, and Leeds is so awesome! There are dinosaurs, there are anomalies, there are action and adventure, and, with season two, we could see again our beloved british characters again, also to get answers about Evan, Dylan, Mac...

Yeah! You summed it up perfectly! That's what it's all about, not a reboot, but a spin-off, and an awesome one at that! I mean, come on people, we got to see CONNOR TEMPLE, everyone's favorite dinosaur nerd!

I am soo upset to hear that primeval new world has finished before it really got a chance to begin the first 13 episodes are awesome and I want them to continue and from watching the origional primeval to see if it was any good I was dissapointed it wasn't as good as new world

Well, the beginning is a little slow, but the final five or six episodes are pretty good in my opnion. and I think that the CGI is much better than in UK Primeval

I personally think Primeval should have ended around the second season, it was going downhill fast. The CGI in New World just seems far too...CGI-ey.

Primeval struggled through a similar ordeal when the original British series was axed after Series 3. Miraculously, the fandom managed to tear out the axe and patch the wound and the show returned for two more seasons. In my opinion, Primeval should have remained axed. Series 4 and 5 of the original series dragged the show to a new low, Series 5 was particularly shitty. I was a long-standing Primeval fan but even I couldn't stand against Series 5. I dropped my interest and didn't even bother following Primeval: New World. But in my opinion New World looked bad, and evidently the low ratings confirm that. Just because it's Primeval doesn't mean the fandom should help keep it going. If it's shit, then it's shit. What the fans should strive for is a better direction. If Primeval: New World failed then the last thing an honorable Primeval fan should want is to try and keep it going. What part of "low ratings" do Primeval fans not get?

Actually, New World was really good. I do agree about Series 4 & 5 being shitty though. The reason there were poor ratings is that Space put it in a timeslot where few people would watch it and gave it virtually no advertising whatsoever. The first episode was also a bit slow which may have put people off, but practically everyone I know who's watched the series through agrees that overall, the series was pretty outstanding. Plus, New World was commissioned before Series 4 & 5 were announced, so there's no reason to think it would be as bad as them. And it was made by different people in a different part of the world.

In my humble opinion, UK Primeval never was a high-quality show: weak and undeveloped plots, arcs never resolved, bad interpretations, sometimes awful CGI (not always, that's truth) and awkward moments. However, I'm a great Primeval fan: in the other hand, it had charismatic characters, and was exciting, dynamic and funny. And had dinosaurs!! I love all the series, from season 1 to season 5, from the gorgonopsid to New Dawn.
And I don't think New World is shit at all. In fact, for me, is better than the original Primeval: better plots, more realistic, more elaborated, more adult... better actuations, and soooo awsome CGI. The beginning was a little slow, I know, but some episodes are cool ("Undone" is amazing!), and after "Truth" the show explodes!! It's not fair that Space has not renewed it. The ratings, yeah... I understand it. Really, I do (as Connor says! XD). All I ask is a final season, for UK and New World, where all the plots can be resolved and the story can finish. Not too much, don't you think?

Yeah, I agree... I didn't like it, either the Ornitholestes or the Daemonosaurus. But other creatures are fantastic. It's tv show, not a movie, after all.
