Oh, God...These ponies have stolen my heart.I've been meaning to draw Applejack for awhile now. She's my favorite one in the show
I found this old, old sketchbook, about half filled, from 2006 (when I first started drawing). The paper is ridiculously smooth. I generally hate paper with no tooth, but I felt like using it anyway, for nostalgia's sake...Surprisingly, it didn't turn out bad.
I used a mechanical pencil (HB) and a 2H. Spent about 4 hours on this.
And anypony that mentions the lack of freckles is going to the glue factory.

Oh man, this one is great too but in a completely different way. I know this style of rendering has a name but I don't know what that name is XD Either way, it bolsters and exaggerates the character of the piece while still bringing it to a higher level. Fanny-Tastic.

It may just be my hair fetish...but I love how when she faints her eyes roll up and she stares into her super rich floppy bangs...I'd give anything to smell her hair! I'm guessing it'd be like walking into a grove of apple trees...mmmmm
