Yeah! I've seen your Ranchero a few times. I've got a similar problem with my Comet right now. It's not as severe, but the front end needs to be replaced. Where'd you get the parts for yours? They're the same as they are on the Comet, right? Glad to hear from you too. Sorry I take so long to respond.

Hey Tom! "Maxine the Merc" is still driving, but she's due for a new front end. The current one got bent a little bent out of shape over 2 months ago, but is still safe enough to drive for short trips. Finally got the brakes fixed, so no more "left turn assistance" for me! There's still a long list of things to fix on her, but I'm at least able to drive her again. I'd drive her even more if the weather would cool down, though. Other than that, not much else to say about my Comet, except that I got to drive her to my college graduation back in May. That was fun!
How's everything going with you? Sorry I haven't spoken much, just haven't been as active on here as of late. Do you still have your Comet, or did you sell it?

Austin, have you checked my DA site lately to see the new vehicle I have purchased. It goes with the Comet, nicely. However, I may be selling the Comet this week. Just not sure whether I want to do that, yet.

What engine does your Comet have, 260 or 289?

It's got a built 289 4 barrel, duals and a little cam. Runs real good. Does have a high rear axle gear, I think a 273.

Gettin' old and don't want to do to many car shows anymore. They are boring just sitting there after looking at all the cars. Haven't even driven them much this year plus I have one (the 58 Ford) that has issues with the gear vender overdrive. It is quite frustrating getting old. Oh well!

Hello again my internet FRIEND! To answer your question about my wheels and hubcaps on the latest pictures of my COMET, they are trim rings with the correct Mercury bottle caps that someone gave me. (not the trim rings, the bottle caps) I'm am pretty sure that the Caliiente came with full hubcaps, but my car had the Cyclone full caps and I didn't like them. So, I went this route. I sure like them this way, too..... The lesser Comets did have the bottle caps unless you ordered the full caps.
