Using rice paper allows you to make a contrast on the darkness of the ink, the wetness and thickness. A work without at least one of this contrast can't be considered art. (I don't think that any of my works can be considered art anyway but I'm trying). In other words, using this paper you never get a perfect and clean work but you have to keep on writing, in order to reflect in the letter the strength of your heart. (or at leat stubborness in my case).

I think it looks nice, what kind of paper do you use?

Does rice paper make a difference on the outcome?

Thank you very much for your kind comments!!
I can say that for this one I worked a lot but I can't say how many hours. It was very difficult to me to get it 2 strokes olny. I began to practice shodou about 9 years ago. Some times I prictice during hours a day (8 hours a day), but because of my work sometimes I don't practice at all.
Thanks again for your warm words!!
